Sam is from Salcombe in Devon. She originally trained as a teacher in Exmouth before reading law at Exeter University. On qualifying as a solicitor in 1997 Sam worked in Totnes and Kingsbridge, before moving to Slee Blackwell Solicitors in 2000, where she has specialised in personal injury and clinical/medical negligence cases. Samantha is an acknowledged expert in the field of abuse claims, undertaking a range of cases on behalf of victims. As the prestigious Legal 500 notes:
